Dr. Joey Arencibia
Dr. Arencibia was raised in Cedartown Georgia. He graduated from Young Harris College where he also played intercollegiate tennis. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia and later attended Southern College of Optometry where he received his doctorate degree. While there, Dr. Arencibia was honored as clinician of the year and graduated Cum Laude.
Dr. Arencibia has been in practice for over fourteen years. He has served as Executive and Clinical Director of TLC Atlanta, a laser vision correction center, where he has co-managed over eight thousand Lasik patients. Because of his extensive experience, he has lectured to his peers around the southeast concerning laser eye surgery.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons. He served as president of the Toccoa Lion’s Club and was voted Lion of the Year in 1992.
Being married and having four children played a large part in his decision to leave Atlanta and live in Hiawassee. Practicing in his new state of the art facility, Georgia Vision Center, Dr. Arencibia is committed to giving the highest quality eye care possible.
